My shoes are not too tight and my arch seems OK, any ideas what could be causing this? Most site concentrate on the bottom of the foot pain.

The pain is there every morning, when I wake up and sometimes will continue throughout the day.
I do not have the pain will resting my foot but it will happen while walking.
The pain is located by my first and second toes, stretching up through the the top of my foot.
What could this possibly be?
What can or should I do?
