I think I have foot neuropathy. Does anyone know how this happens? It’s very painful. Thanks for ANY help!

Thanks! My B-12 has been ck'd and is ok. I am not diabetic, but I *am* on cholesterol and BP meds, which I understand can cause some of the foot pain. My doctor says nothing can be done and I just have to live with it!!

I am in my mid 30s, a male, I am going to see a podiatrist abou this next week, but in the meantime, I am driviing myself nuts. I have had gout, but in the past three months, my feet have been hurting all over and they are swollen.l When I look up foot pain on the net, I get neuropathy, kidney failure, diabetes, etc. etc. NOw, I am freaking out. My question is, if I had these serious things, would foot pain be the only symptom. The pain can seem sharp and burning and tingling, like it says on the net, I guess. My knees are often stiff in the am as well. .blood sugar was normal a year ago. I walk a lot, because I live in NYC, and the pain has been somewhat relieved since I started wearing tennis shows. Also, on my left foot, the second two is bend toward the big toe. I also like to drink, and then came across alcoholic neuropathey! Checking my symptoms is very scary on the net. Any advice would be grteat.
