The pain started when I was breaking in my new hiking boots. This year I bought some new boots which I need to break in by next month (I fight forest fires so hiking is necessary.) I just can’t hike with a messed up Achilles. How can I break in my new boots without hurting my Achilles tendon?

I had casts on until the end of October. The skin on the area by the stiches (which are healing nicely) is itchy, inclusing the skin by my ankle. Is there any specific reason for this?? Also, There are kinda waves where the skin gets more fat by the sttiches. Why?? Thanks so much. :)
I have an appointment on December 6 with my doctor, so I’ll bring it up then too.
Oh yeah, my dad said the skin probably got tight because it was pulled tighter where it used to be looser.
