I've been having some bothersome on my achilles tendon on both of my legs but mainly on my right. My ankles are a little stiff since I haven't been able to get completely on my box.

SHould I stop pointe for now and start again later on?

It hurts less when i bend my foot back probably because i'm not stretching it. Now I'm not sure if anything's wrong with it. How can I tell what's wrong, if anything?
It also looks a little swollen compared to my left tendon.

He says it feel like it is really tight and it aches. So far I am not aware of any treatments (except stretching) that can help his pain. He stretches it all the time and it helps but not alot. Pains meds don't help either. I was curious if anyone has heard or used any methods of relieving the pain. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

After over a year of research my doctor said I have to take cipro or levaquin for 6 weeks which might help. He decided cipro would be good.

I really want to finish remaining 3 weeks so I can take care of this infection but I am having sleepless nites because I have been reading people blogging about how their tendons just broke and they had to get surgery done.

I started and its been 18 days since I started taking 500mg cipro twice a day. I am very paranoid about the tendon ruptures. Does anyone have more information on this. I have been reading stuff on the internet and all I see is horror storie. How would I know my tendons are getting weak especially my achilles tendon?

Would I be have inflamation and swelling first? right now I have no swelling nor inflamation I just have this paranoia and am walking weird trying to put little pressure on my ankles. Can anyone tell me how I should monitor this and also if there is anything I can wear around my ankles that would give enough support and strength when I walk or stand for long time.
It is generic. CIPROFLAXACIN HCL is that enough info.

If someone was running and slipped over and someone fell over him and their spike landed on his ankle would it be able to rip the Achilles heel tendon in half and if so what would happen?
How much pain would it cause?
How would it be fixed?
How long would the recovery take?
How long would it be before he could start running again?
Would there be a lot of blood?
And what would it fel like? I heard that the tendon slithers back up your calf as it is not connected, is this true?
