Put it on before going to bed at night. If you do have a serious case you do need to go to the doctor. It will not go away by itself. It will more than likely spread and in some cases cause you to lose the entire nail. Nothing to be ashamed of by no means. Try to keep your feet dry (workboots are to blame many times).
