It will depend if the fungus has affected the Matrix of the nail ( that is the part that looks like the, half moon at the bottom of the nail). It may need to be treated with Betadine, and it takes the Toe nail a long time to grow out,( 9 months or more) you will need a protective bandage since the toe will be very tender where there is no nail now.
