You could be getting the infection from anywhere because there are so many different
causes. Check out this link for more detailed information.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
NOT WASHING lol
You probably do. The fungus is potentially everywhere. It’s very common. You could get it from the floor, a public shower, the wind? There’s a solution from "Thursday Plantation" that’s a combination of tea tree oil and a weak solution of a mild acid that will help – it did for me. Keep the toes dry, wear sandals or mesh shoes that will allow the feet to "breathe", and there are pills that you can take as well, but I hear that they may be bad for the liver or something. Try the Thursday Plantation solution for toe fungus, it works.
If your toes have changed in color maybe you should read up on it. You could have gotten it from just about anywhere. Here is a site that could help.

I had this once and believe I had to take a prescription medicine (from my doctor) for some weeks to to end it. Of course then the colored portion of the nail has to grown out before its gone.
You could be getting this infection from several places. Maybe this website can help you out.
