Hi everyone, I’m a 17 year old guy, and as of today I started having intense pain in the arch of my foot while on a run. I was jump roping yesterday and ever since then my foot has been hurting. It went away for part of the day today but just came back 10x worse while I was on a run. Any advice? thanks.
Go see a doctor.
You probably have a strain of the plantar fascia (the tough band of tissue that supports the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes).
A couple of questions..
Is the pain far worse in the mornings? pain is usually worse in the morning because the fascia tightens overnight.
When you were jumping rope did you come down flat footed? If you came down flat it may have put increased stress on your plantar fascia causing the strain.
dnot run u might have pulled somthing?
have it looked out a lot of athlets do it
plus what retard would go running again?
Could be that your shoes aren’t supporting your arch. I had the opposite problem, where the outer side of my feet hurt, because I had the wrong type of shoes for my feet. Head to a running store (not like sports authority, but a store that specializes in running gear) and get your gait analyzed. They’ll be able to pick out the best shoe for your foot. In the meantime, lay off the running.
