Try an orthotic device (obtained through a podiatrist or orthopedic surgeon), especially if there is excessive pronation of the foot. Be very patient. This problem can take a year or more to go away.

(The term fasciitis is a misnomer as studies of the tissue do not demonstrate inflammation. Plantar fasciosis is a more accurate diagnosis).
