What is the lump on the side of my foot?

I have a lump under my skin on the outside of my left foot. It is half way between my little toe and heel. At first I thought it might be some type of bone spur but now I’m not sure. I also have bunions on the outside of both big toes. This bump does not feel like them. It is harder and swelling a little more each day. Any idea of what it could be. My neighbor thought it might be an absess.

dont be foolish, by figuring out what this bump is, it will not surrender and go away. Go to the Doctor hun, thats what they are there for.

It’s probably a cyst. My dad have them on the same location you mention and he had them surgically removed. It started really small, size of a pea, and grew to the size of a nickle. They protrude out, so I know it hurt him when he walk. He wear tight shoes, so that may have been the cause.

it’s probably your bony feet rubbing up against the side of your new shoes!! it’s the base of your 5th metatarsal!
