    check firts with your DR.
    go baby steps ,use a chair and start moving your legs (like kicking, but not kick) walk 5-10 mins (in you home) a day, use 1lb dumbell to workout you upper body, (this is what my mom do), drink lot of water
    keep record of everything you eat and workout done

    In addition to your doctor, you need to see a nutritionist that can regimen your diet. I strongly urge to get a trainer at a gym and he will set you on a low impact weight loss program. You will need to commit to this or nothing will help you.

    Really watch what you eat. If you talk to a doctor about it they can put you on a diet that best fits you. Walking at least 15 min a day. Even if its in your own home. Swimming is great for people who have bodies that hurt. It takes all the pressure off your bones and your muscles. But if your health is that bad and you hurt a lot i would definitely go to a doctor first.

    I'm diabetic too. Exercise is the hardest thing to do when you hurt. I just walk some. I have neuropathy in my hands, feet, and almost to my knees now. I try to get to the mall two or three times a week. I wander around for at least an hour. Nothing aerobic, the body won't take that but I find the duration of a bit over an hour helps. Also, being at the mall with all the various things to look at seems to make the time go faster. As an alternate to the mall, any big store full of stuff that interests you. I find I can wander around Home Depot for hours and never know it happened. I also like Fry's. Target and other general merchandise stores, well lets say cat food and women’s underwear just don't get me going like a new table saw or a fancy computer system. I just reread that, bras loose to table saw, I must be getting old.

    As for the weight problem, eat less I guess. It seems like I eat like bird, and a very small bird at that. I still see a pound gained sometimes and have to cut back even more. Maybe you could cut out the third piece of chocolate cake, stop washing it down with milkshakes and only eat four pounds of chocolate a day. LOL. Do you remember when we could do that and live through it. Them were the days.

    I know I didn't give you any new information. I’m sorry, I wish I had a magic potion but I don’t. I just thought that maybe if you knew you weren't alone that it would help. Do go for a walk, everyday. It will be slow but it will help, I promise.

    Try Windsor~Pilates program. It is inexpensive, low impact..you pretty much stay on the floor and I lost 38 pounds in 4 months…good luck and stay healthy! PS~ swimming is also a great exercise because the water supports the muscles..
