I had a back surgery in January, 06. Lumbar disk 5 was herniated and part of it was removed. 1 month and a half ago I began having strong back pains like a pulled muscle. I had bi-lateral sacrilliac joint injections about 4 wks. ago. Now I'm having constant pain in glut area, calf and numbness in bottom of foot. What could this be?
There could be some pressure on a nerve. Call your doctor. It definately needs to be heard by your doctor.
Sounds like somekind of nerve damage, when you have surgery sometimes nerves are damaged from surgeries.
A friend of mine at work had something similar going on. He had to have a second surgery to have more of the disc removed. He was told that eventually he will have to have all of it removed and have his vertebrates fused or have an artificial disc put in.
sounds like ur syatic nerve is pinched a bit.. when i had my back surgery i slipped 2 disks and the nerve was pinched inbetween the two so i had constant pain with numbness in my right foot up into my knee.. try a heating pad and sit on it… the warmer heat will loosen that muscle also talk to your doc about possibly getting into physical therapy they can do a electro shock therapy that doesn’t hurt it actaully feels quite good along with a deep tissue massage that will loosen up the muscles and let that nerve go.. i wish u the best i know how painful that can be
