Is this symptoms of a bunion?

I am 16 years old and have always had problems with my feet, and I have a special equipment which streches the big toe away from the others which i wear regularly, however today when playing sports at the bottom of my big toe it has all of a sudden become very sensitive, almost a pins and needles feeling or the feeling when u have a splinter there. it hurts alot. however, i do not have a large bump pertruding from the side of my toe. Could this be a formation of a bunion? thanks

  1. here to help :) says:

The common bunion, an enlargement of the inner portion of the joint at the base of the big toe, primarily affects women. The signs and symptoms of bunions include inflammation, redness, tenderness, and pain of the first metatarsophalangeal joint. The little toe may also develop a bunion (tailor’s bunion). Rest, walking shoes, stretching, cold packs, and antiinflammatory medications may alleviate pain. Surgery is also a treatment option
