Is massage therapy really necessary to help cure plantar fasciitis?

I saw a podiatrist and got a cortisone injection as well as orthotics which didn’t really help. Should I see a massage therapist? The thing is i’m a uni student and i’m very limited in cash. I’m using financial aid to cover my schooling. I don’t have a job.
is it likely to cure it by yourself?
I didn’t mean to go by itself…I meant if I can do the treatment myself

It’s not likely to go away by itself, no. Massage is probably the best treatment out there for plantar fasciitis. Certainly safer than cortisone injections.

I have plantar fasciitis myself for a few months now. My podiatrist prescribed me with Custom made orthotics which did not work at all. There are Taping techniques that I find very useful. There are a few more self care techniques that I got from this informative website-

Many people who have suffered with plantar fasciitis have found that bone spurs associated with the plantar fasciitis is oftentimes that cause of the pain. To read more about this, please visit http://www.bonespur.com/plantar-fasciitis.html
