had bunion surgery.. and the cold is bothering it now.. why?

ive been told by people that had similar surgeries done to their feet that the cold will bother your feet, and rain also. but my doctor told me that since my bunion surgery wasnt directly in my joint that it wouldnt bother me when weather got cold and with rain, however since i had the surgery with the titanium screw put into my bone, and ever since its gotten cold sometimes it throbs for a little and goes away completely.. could i have arthritis in my toe already? its dec 23rd 09 i had it operated on july 21st 09 and ill be 26 on december 28th.. im still young.. if the screw is not in my toe joint, why has it been hurting off and on?! ugh! im really active and i know now that my foot is never going to be the same, but at least now i can run and walk without the horrible pain..

thanks for your help!

merry xmas!

You should keep your feet warm and dry at all times. It is not arthritis, your foot will heal.
