Does it hurt to have stitches removed from foot?

I had bunion surgery on July 1st and on the 21st I am getting my stitches removed from my foot. I have a 3in cut by my big toe and a 2in cut by my little toe with stitches in both that do not disolve.

I have had stitches before, but they were all disolving so I never had to worrry about getting anything removed. I’ve heard that it stings or it doesn’t hurt at all… I’m not sure… Any info for me?

Thanks!

it stings a little but i wouldn’t let it bother you. if i could take your place i would because that stuff doesn’t bother me.

A numbing agent can be sprayed on, or local anesthetic injected. Otherwise, it’s not too bad.
