Is it worth it? Right now i can only wear wide width shoes, which are very difficult to find, and i can’t wear heels. Is anyone in the same situation, or close, that can give me some advice?

I had bunion surgery at 18 (mine was the result of a bone alignment problem I’d had from birth). The surgery is horribly painful. I would say don’t do it unless your feet actually HURT on a regular basis (which mine did, to a point I was having trouble walking). It’s really not worth it unless you’re in pain…there are potential complications in the future, like calcification where the bone was shaved down which will put you right back where you are now. PLUS…even after the surgery I still wear wide shoes. It didn’t change my size.
And it’s not true that you can’t wear cute shoes or heels, you just have to look in the right places. http://www.shoebuy.com and http://www.famousfootwear.com have a TON of wide width shoes, and not the ugly diabetic ones, the regular styles in wide widths.
I think it is worth it.But you have to wait a while before you can wear normal shoes again.I had corn removal surgery and my feet are 100% better. My feet used to hurt so bad i cried but,now they feel great.Good Luck and find a very good doctor. It is best if you know someone to refer you and that has used that doctor for the same reason.
Personally I would prefer to seek for the wide shoe, surgery seems a bit drastic, I do not wish to dishearten you, but it is not the same as a corn removal.
