I have bunion problem with both feet and i guess it developed after wearing pointy shoes when I was young.. it has started hurting now. I cant wear sandals anymore..i dono what I shud wear to work. The only foot wear I feel v comfortable in – is addidas sponge flip-flops..can anyone suggest something that can ease this pain.
Note – I am aware of ‘www.footsmart.com’ but their delivery is very expensive and if size doesnt fit me, i am responsible for shipping it back. Is there a local store where I can get bunion splint or shoes??
One place you can check is with Foot Solutions because they may have a store in your area that can help.. Another one is one called Good Feet (not sure if they are all over the country or not).
Another thing that you can try is wearing larger sized tennis shoes because of a bigger toebox to see if that is of some help. You can also try something like the Dr. Scholls’ gel inserts which are sold at places like Wal-Mart to see if they help.
However, because of them hurting now I would recommend a consultation with a Podiatrist (a doctor that specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases and disorders that relate to the foot and ankle such as bunions) to see what other options they can recommend to help with this pain.
