A couple of years ago, I dropped an iron skillet on my right foot at a restaurant I worked at. I seriously dont remember if it landed on my toe or the top of my foot but it hurt like hell!
I dont know if it is why my foot is hurting the way it does now, but this has been going on for about 3 years. I have done research and found that it may be a Morton’s Neuroma because it describes my symptoms down to a T. It is in between my 3rd and 4th toe on my right foot. Anytime I am on my feet for for than 30 minutes at a time or when I wear closed toed shoes (that aren’t even tight) I get a sharp pain in my foot in between those 2 toes. The pain I can describe is comparable to having ice and fire touching it at the same time, its a burning numb pain. It got worse when I was waitressing and now I’m a hairdresser. I’m miserable when my foot starts hurting every single day or when I go for a walk or work out. Any clues on what this can be or anyone experience the same thing?
And YES I’m most definately going to see a doctor. = ( I just got married and I will be under my husbands health insurance in August!!!! = )
Yes, it’s possible that it is a Morton’s Neuroma but I would recommend consulting a Podiatrist after your husband’s insurance kicks in in Aug.
In the mean time because of how bad this pain is I would recommend going to the ER to have them evaluate the situation further. It also sounds like some nerve damage of other sorts could be going on (an example only).
