I am a 28 year old girl I had sudden hearing loss abt 30% twice but I experienced no dizziness. After using steroids my hearing was completely back but I still have tinnitus. Do u think it may be an acoustic neuroma if not what it can be? this really drives me crazy
If you even suspect that you have an acoustic neuroma, you should see a neurologist immediately. There is a test that can be done, called a BAER (Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response) which can very accurately tell the physician if there is a neuroma there. Treatment may follow afterwards. I don’t have any speculation as to what else it could be, but I am no doctor. I recommend seeing one very soon.
