Anyone ever heard of "bilateral morton's neuroma"???? Sorry this is a long one…..?

I was diagnosed that almost a year ago and now I see a different doctor at the same practice and he is telling me that in all his 26 years of being a podiatrist that he has never seen anyone with that diagnosis. I was fine up until a week ago when they gave me a shot of lidocaine (just to numb them) so they could make sure they were going in the correct spot for surgery and now the pain is 10 times worse(never had pain like this before). So my regular doctor isnt in and I see this other guy who tells me that I just have metatarsalgia? Anyone who can tell me anything I would be grateful.

I had a Morton’s neuroma removed about 10 years ago. It was very painful!! After the surgery I healed well, & have never had any more problems with it. I think I would seek another independent opinion from a podiatrist outside the practice you usually patronize. It almost sounds like the 2 of them are involved in a "I’m right, you’re wrong" battle. An independent opinion should give you a better idea of what’s going on..
