Has any one out there ever had an ACHILLES TENDONITIS injury? How long did it take for you to heal?

I played in a school charity basketball game in January. I was only in the game for a few minutes in 2 quarters. I don’t exercise much and I only warmed up for a short time. I didn’t fall or twist in an odd way and was perfectly fine when I walked to my car and went home. Two hours later, I had excruciating pain in my left ankle.
I had a normal x-ray and was told that I injured my achilles (not torn). I’ve been going to physical therapy 3 times a week since January and I’m still not walking. I also had an MRI and I was told that it showed tendinitis. I’m still in pain and can’t put my heel down. My orthopedist mentioned blood platelet injections or surgery…what’s going on?

Where is the site of then tendonitis? At the midsubstance (most common) or the insertion at the heel (less common and harder to treat). The following applies to midsubstance issues.

Are you on an eccentric loading protocol? Research demonstrates that at the height of this program, you should be doing 160-180 heel drops a day. At this point, there should be little reason to be in PT for 3x a week…if you were not making progress several weeks ago, I definitely would have sent you back to the doctors. Most people are feeling significantly better after 12 weeks. If you smoke or have diabetes, this could explain the slow healing, but if not, and if you’ve been following the program above, I’d say there should be other things to consider than just PT alone. If you haven’t been doing this protocol, I’d find a therapist who knows it….

On some occasions dieting and working out basically isn’t sufficient, as there will be surplus weight basically sitting around in your pipes. It’s not body fat, therefore it can not be melted off, however it will be rinsed out, basically by having a supplement. http://fupars.hourdiet.info has a risk free offer on offer currently, I gave it a try and melted away 17 pounds!! Who says there is no magic bullet? LOL!!!
