Wednesday, March 31st, 2010I am worried about my mother-in-law, she has gained tons of weight becasue she limits her walking. She has been told she has neuropathy and is taking lyrica but she says the pain is horrible and refuses to go through more testing as the last time cased more pain. Her symptoms include: unexplained swollen, excruciating pain (even sheets hurt her feet) and burning (she wears loose mens sandals year round and puts ice on her feet). I would like to push her in the right direction but I don't know what kind of specialist to go to or what she has wrong. I don't trust her PCP as this has been getting worse over the years. Help?
why am I having pain in the arch of my foot?
Wednesday, March 31st, 2010Hi everyone, I'm a 17 year old guy, and as of today I started having intense pain in the arch of my foot while on a run. I was jump roping yesterday and ever since then my foot has been hurting. It went away for part of the day today but just came back 10x worse while I was on a run. Any advice? thanks.
Has anyone had Plantar Fasciitis been put out of work? How long?

What happens if your toe gets worse after ingrown toenail surgery?
Wednesday, March 31st, 2010I have had surgery on my ingrown toenail twice now. The first time I went to a regular physician and he supposedly removed it and it just kept getting worse so I finally had to get to a foot doctor and he said he was almost 100% percent sure that he got it all out and it should be a lot better within 48 hours. It has been a week now and it is even more infected than it was and the toenail is dead and trying to come off on that side and it hurts like there is no tomorrow. I am supposed to go back for a follow up appt. in two days, I just wonder if anyone has any idea what I may be doing wrong, cuz I dont think I can handle this again for the third time.Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Achilles tendon partial tear? Do I have it?
Wednesday, March 31st, 2010I'm a teenager. For a little over a year, I have had a pain in my Achilles tendon. I wouldn't feel this pain when I'm regularly walking around, but when I suddenly start running for whatever reason, my Achilles tendon just basically "gives up." It feels like it was almost shot. I immediately have to stop what I am doing and sit down.
Do I have a partial tear in my Achilles tendon? If so, what do I do about it? If not, what is it?
Toenail fungus relief, please?
Wednesday, March 31st, 2010I got a mild case of fungus on my big toe after a pedicure. I didn't even realize I had gotten a fungus, I thought I had just hit my toe some where, It wasn't green or anything, I just had a flaky cloudy spot on the corner of my toe. It hadn't even bothered me, but now that the spot is growing out, it burns! I am trying some remedies, but does anyone know of anything that will give me relief from the burning immediately, even if its just temporary, I'm going nuts! I am NEVER going to the nail salon again!!!! I think this thing is even spreading! Help, please!
I would have reported the salon, but I had never had toe nail fungus and didn't even know what it looked like. It had already been weeks when I put 2 and 2 together.
Walking after bunion surgery?
Tuesday, March 30th, 2010I had bunion surgery about a week ago. I went back to the doctor and he said everything looked great and gave me a boot to wear on my foot until the next visit.
So I started walking using the boot and now my foot is really bruised. Is this okay? It does not hurt at all, just bruised.
Also, I have a k-wire(spelling?) sticking out of my foot. Is it okay to walk even though it is sticking out? The doctor never said anything about the wire thing... just that he will remove it in a few weeks.
I wouldn't want the wire to bend or break or anything.

Shooting pain in bottom of foot when moving leg?
Tuesday, March 30th, 2010When I bend my leg up, when geting up or leaning forward, sometimes I get this shooting pain in the bottom of my foot. It never used to do this but it has been happening for te past month or two. Is this just because I'm not as flexible anymore and something is hitting a nere or what? I don't need to go to the doctor to get this checked out, do I?
